Amethyst inventory software for dealers
Amethysts are quartz stones sourced mainly from Brazil, Zambia, Uruguay and India. Amethyst is traded in large calibrated parcels. The main need is parcel-level cost, counting by piece and by weight, and quick price lists for retailers.
What to record for each amethyst
Typical fields: colour grade, size, weight, origin and parcel number. GemColony keeps these on the stone record with photos and a barcode or QR label.
Parcels, lots and memos
Buy amethysts as a lot, split it into parcels and single stones, and send stones out on memo while seeing who holds them and for how long.
Learn moreAI analysis from photos
Upload photos and GemColony's AI suggests type, origin, clarity and treatment, and can propose a market price. Use it as a second opinion; it does not replace a laboratory report.
Learn moreCertificates and sharing
Issue a provenance certificate with an online verification link and share any amethyst with a branded link or QR code.

Can GemColony record treatment and origin for amethysts?
Yes. Origin, treatment, weight, dimensions, certificate number and photos are stored on each stone record and can be printed on invoices and certificates.
Does it help with memo and consignment of amethysts?
Yes. You can send stones out on memo, see which stones are out and with whom, then convert a memo to a sale or take the stones back.
