What does GemColony's AI do?
You upload photos of a stone and the AI suggests its type, origin, clarity, treatment, optical effects, fluorescence and a suitable cut, and can suggest a market price. You review the result and can add the stone to your inventory in one step.
Is the AI always right?
No. It is a fast second opinion, not a verdict. Treatments and origin can only be confirmed by a gemological laboratory, so a person should check every result before it is relied on or printed on a document.
Does it replace a lab report?
No. Keep using laboratory reports for valuable stones. GemColony stores the report number with the stone and helps you spot reports that do not look consistent.
Which plan includes the AI?
AI gemstone analysis is part of the Professional plan ($179 a month) and the Enterprise plan (from $399 a month). The Starter plan does not include it.
