What is the Jewelry Workshop add-on?
It is for gem dealers who also make jewelry. You can take orders for finished pieces or pieces made to measure, set stones aside from your stock, track goldsmiths and every gram of metal, record repairs, and share finished pieces with photos and videos through a public link. It is included in the Enterprise plan. On Starter and Professional, our team can switch it on for you. Contact us to add it.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect immediately, and we'll prorate your billing.
Is there a free trial?
Absolutely. All plans come with a 14-day free trial. No credit card required to start.
What happens if I exceed my gemstone or customer limit?
You'll be notified when approaching your limit. You can upgrade at any time to increase your limits. We won't delete your data.
What's included in the Lapidary module?
Full workflow management for gemstone processing — stage tracking with weight loss monitoring, staff assignment, quality decisions, treatment decisions, timeline views, and performance analytics.
How does AI Gemstone Analysis work?
Upload gemstone images and our AI detects type, origin, clarity, treatment, phenomena, fluorescence, and suggests cuts. It can also provide price suggestions and import results directly to your inventory.
Do you offer discounts for annual billing?
Yes. Pay yearly and you get 2 months free: Starter is $690 a year instead of $828, and Professional is $1,790 a year instead of $2,148. Use the Monthly / Yearly switch above the plans. Enterprise starts from $399 a month and is priced with our team. We also offer special pricing for startups and small dealers.
Is my data secure?
Yes. GemColony uses multi-tenant architecture where each business gets their own isolated workspace. Authentication is powered by Clerk with full activity logging and audit trails.
What is the Hub Marketplace?
Hub Marketplace (app.gemcolony.com/hub) is a verified B2B gemstone marketplace run by the GemColony team. Any GemColony ERP user can submit gems from their inventory to the Hub. Our team reviews and approves each listing before it goes live. Verified buyers then browse, filter, and send direct inquiries to sellers — with no middlemen. The Hub features AI-powered natural language search powered by Claude AI.
What is the Online Storefront?
Enterprise plan tenants get their own public-facing gem catalog at their subdomain (yourname.gemcolony.com/shop). Mark gems as 'In Stock' in your GemColony inventory and they automatically appear on your storefront. Visitors can browse gem detail pages with photos, videos, and certificate numbers, and contact you directly via inquiry form or a WhatsApp 'Buy Now' button. No payments are processed — it's an inquiry-first model.
